मिथ्योपचरितास्तात जन्मप्रभूति बान्धवा: । त्वयि सम्यड्महाबाहो प्रतिपन्ना यशस्विन:,“तात महाबाहो! यद्यपि तुमने अपने ही भाई पाण्डवोंके साथ जन्मसे ही छल-कपटका बर्ताव किया है, तथापि वे यशस्वी पाण्डव तुम्हारे प्रति सदा सद्भाव ही रखते आये हैं

Transliteration

mithyopacaritās tāta janmaprabhṛti bāndhavāḥ | tvayi samyaṅ mahābāho pratipannā yaśasvinaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Mein Lieber, o Fürst mit mächtigen Armen: Obwohl du seit der Geburt deine eigenen Verwandten mit Trug und unziemlichem Verhalten behandelt hast, haben jene ruhmreichen Pāṇḍavas dir gegenüber dennoch stets eine aufrichtige und wohlgesinnte Haltung bewahrt.“
