Nārada on Mādhavī’s Asceticism and the Scrutiny of Yayāti in Heaven
The verse highlights the traditional dharmic emphasis on timely, proper marital arrangements and the continuation of lineage through worthy offspring, framing progeny as a responsibility tied to family and social order.
Nārada addresses Gālava with a pointed question, expressing that if the woman in question had been given to him earlier, he would have fathered four sons who would strengthen the family line—implying a missed opportunity and stressing the importance of timely decisions.
