नारदकथितं माधव्याः तपश्चर्या–ययातेः स्वर्गविचारः | Nārada on Mādhavī’s Asceticism and the Scrutiny of Yayāti in Heaven

किमियं पूर्वमेवेह न दत्ता मम गालव । पुत्रा ममैव चत्वारो भवेयु: कुलभावना:

kim iyaṁ pūrvam eveha na dattā mama gālava | putrā mamaiva catvāro bhaveyuḥ kulabhāvanāḥ ||

Nārada sprach: „Gālava, warum wurde sie mir nicht schon früher, gleich hier, gegeben? Wäre sie gegeben worden, so wären mir vier Söhne geboren — wahre Mehrer des Geschlechts.“
