Shloka 13

नारदकथितं माधव्याः तपश्चर्या–ययातेः स्वर्गविचारः | Nārada on Mādhavī’s Asceticism and the Scrutiny of Yayāti in Heaven

अस्यां राजर्षिश्रि: पुत्रा जाता वै धार्मिकास्त्रय: । चतुर्थ जनयत्वेक॑ भवानपि नरोत्तमम्‌,*राजर्षियोंने इसके गर्भसे तीन धर्मात्मा पुत्र उत्पन्न किये हैं। अब आप भी एक नरश्रेष्ठ पुत्र उत्पन्न कीजिये, जिसकी संख्या चौथी होगी

asyāṁ rājarṣiśrīḥ putrā jātā vai dhārmikās trayaḥ | caturthaṁ janayatv ekaṁ bhavān api narottamam ||

Nārada sprach: „Aus dieser edlen Frau sind wahrlich drei rechtschaffene Söhne königlichen ṛṣis hervorgegangen. Nun zeuge auch du, o Bester der Menschen, einen einzigen Sohn, damit er der vierte sei.“
