तथा तौ कथयन्तौ च चिन्तयन्तौ च यत् क्षमम् । प्रतिष्ठाने नरपतिं ययातिं प्रत्युपस्थिताौ,इस प्रकार परस्पर बातें करते और उचित कर्तव्यको मन-ही-मन सोचते हुए वे दोनों प्रतिष्ठानपुरमें राजा ययातिके दरबारमें उपस्थित हुए
tathā tau kathayantau ca cintayantau ca yat kṣamam | pratiṣṭhāne narapatiṁ yayātiṁ pratyupasthitau ||
So gelangten die beiden, während sie miteinander sprachen und im Innern erwogen, welcher Schritt der angemessene sei, nach Pratiṣṭhāna und traten im königlichen Hof vor König Yayāti — entschlossen, im Einklang mit Dharma und kluger Erwägung zu handeln.
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights deliberation guided by propriety (kṣama): before acting, one should converse, reflect, and then approach authority in a manner aligned with dharma and practical wisdom.
Two individuals, after discussing and considering the appropriate course, reach Pratiṣṭhāna and appear before King Yayāti in his court, marking a transition to an audience scene where counsel or inquiry is to be made.
