धन-निरुक्ति तथा गालवस्य गुरुदक्षिणा-प्रसङ्गः

कि नु ते मनसा ध्यातमशुभं॑ धर्मदूषणम् | न हायं भवतः स्वल्पो व्यभिचारो भविष्यति,“तुमने अपने मनमें कौन-सा अशुभ चिन्तन किया है, जो धर्मको दूषित करनेवाला रहा है। मैं समझता हूँ, तुम्हारे द्वारा यहाँ कोई थोड़ा धर्मविरुद्ध कार्य नहीं हुआ होगा”
ki nu te manasā dhyātam aśubhaṃ dharmadūṣaṇam | na hāyaṃ bhavataḥ svalpo vyabhicāro bhaviṣyati |
Nārada sprach: „Welchen unheilvollen Gedanken hegst du in deinem Geist – einen, der das Dharma beflecken würde? Das wird kein geringes Versehen deinerseits sein; es scheint, als müsse es zu einer schweren Verfehlung werden.“
