यदि ते रोचते सम्यग् भुजगोत्तम मा चिरम् | क्रियतामार्यक क्षिप्रं बुद्धि: कन्यापरिग्रहे
yadi te rocate samyag bhujagottama mā ciram | kriyatām āryaka kṣipraṁ buddhiḥ kanyā-parigrahe ||
Nārada sprach: „Wenn dir dieser Antrag wahrhaft zusagt, o Bester der Schlangen, so zögere nicht. O edler Aryaka, fasse rasch den Entschluss, die Jungfrau zur Ehe anzunehmen.“
नारद उवाच
Timely, well-considered action is part of dharma: when a relationship or alliance is judged proper and beneficial, one should not waver or procrastinate but make a clear decision and proceed responsibly.
Nārada addresses Āryaka with respectful epithets and urges him to act quickly if he finds the proposed marital connection agreeable—specifically, to decide to accept the maiden (the daughter) in marriage, implying the formation of a significant familial alliance.
