स्त्री-विलापः — गान्धार्याः रणभूमिदर्शनं शापवचनं च

जाने5हमेतदप्येवं चीर्ण चरसि क्षत्रिये | दैवादेव विनश्यन्ति वृष्णयो नात्र संशय:,'क्षत्राणी! मैं जानता हूँ, यह ऐसा ही होनेवाला है। तुम तो किये हुएको ही कर रही हो। इसमें संदेह नहीं कि वृष्णिवंशके यादव दैवसे ही नष्ट होंगे
jāne ’ham etad apy evaṁ cīrṇaṁ carasi kṣatriye | daivād eva vinaśyanti vṛṣṇayo nātra saṁśayaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Auch dies weiß ich — ja, es wird genau so geschehen. O kṣatriyische Frau, du vollziehst nur, was längst gewirkt ist. Kein Zweifel: allein durch die Macht des Geschicks werden die Vṛṣṇis zugrunde gehen.“
