भवतो<र्थकृदित्येवं मयि दोषो हि तै: कृत: । विद्यते कारणं नान्यदिति मे नात्र संशय:

Transliteration

bhavato 'rthakṛd ity evaṁ mayi doṣo hi taiḥ kṛtaḥ | vidyate kāraṇaṁ nānyad iti me nātra saṁśayaḥ ||

Translation

Bhishma sprach: „Weil ich zu deinem Wohl handle, haben jene Minister mir eine schwere Schuld angedichtet; und eben deshalb sind sie dazu gekommen, Hass gegen mich zu tragen. Einen anderen Grund für ihren Zorn gibt es nicht — daran zweifle ich nicht.“
