Chapter 81: Trust, Allies, and the Qualifications of the King’s Artha-Secretary (अर्थसचिव)

निकृतस्य नरैरन्यैज्ञातिरेव परायणम्‌ । नान्यैनिकारं सहते ज्ञातिज्ञािति: कथठ्चन,दूसरोंके दबानेपर उस मनुष्यको उसके सगे भाई-बन्धु ही सहारा देते हैं। दूसरे लोग किसी सजातीय बन्धुका अपमान करें तो जाति-भाई उसको किसी तरह सहन नहीं कर सकते हैं

nikṛtasya narair anyair jñātir eva parāyaṇam | nānyanikāraṃ sahate jñātijñātiḥ kathaṃcana ||

Bhishma sprach: „Wird ein Mann von anderen bedrückt oder gekränkt, so werden allein seine eigenen Verwandten zu seiner wahren Zuflucht. Wenn Außenstehende jemanden aus derselben Abstammung beschimpfen oder niederzwingen, können die Männer dieser Sippe eine solche Schmach auf keine Weise ertragen.“
