Chapter 78: Royal Responsibility for Wealth, Social Order, and the Protection of Dvijas

Kekaya Exemplum

तस्माद्‌ राज्ञा विशेषेण विकर्मस्था द्विजातय: । नियम्या: संविभज्याश्न तदनुग्रहकारणात्‌

tasmād rājñā viśeṣeṇa vikarmasthā dvijātayaḥ | niyamyāḥ saṁvibhajyāśnan tad-anugraha-kāraṇāt ||

Darum soll der König mit besonderer Sorgfalt die Zweimalgeborenen, die in unrechtes Tun gefallen sind, zügeln und dafür sorgen, dass sie erst nach rechter Zuteilung Anteil nehmen—als eine Maßnahme der Herrschaft, die ihrer Besserung und ihrem Wohl dient.

Educational Q&A
