Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments
अथ राष्ट्रमुपायेन भुज्यमान सुरक्षितम् । जनयत्यतुलां नित्यं कोशवृद्धि युधिछ्विर
atha rāṣṭram upāyena bhujyamānaṃ surakṣitam | janayaty atulāṃ nityaṃ kośa-vṛddhiṃ yudhiṣṭhira ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „O Yudhiṣṭhira, wenn ein Reich sicher geschützt und mit rechtmäßigen, klugen Mitteln verwaltet wird und seine Einkünfte auf gerechte Weise eingezogen werden, dann bringt es fortwährend einen unvergleichlichen Zuwachs der königlichen Schatzkammer hervor.“
