उपास्यमान मुनिभिद्देवैरिव शतक्रतुम्‌ । देशे परमधर्मिष्ठे नदीमोघवतीमनु,जैसे देवता इन्द्रकी उपासना करते हैं, उसी प्रकार बहुत-से महर्षि ओघवती नदीके तटपर परम धर्ममय स्थानमें उनके पास बैठे हुए थे

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: upāsyamānaṁ munibhir devair iva śatakratum | deśe paramadharmiṣṭhe nadīm oghavatīm anu ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Wie die Götter Śatakratu (Indra) umstehen, so saßen auch viele Weisen in seiner Nähe, am Ufer des Flusses Oghavatī, an einem Ort, der für höchste Rechtschaffenheit gerühmt war.
