Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
भयात् क्षत्रियवीराणां पर्वतं समुपाश्रित: । सा पुन: क्षत्रियशतै: पृथिवी सर्वतः स्तृता
bhayāt kṣatriya-vīrāṇāṁ parvataṁ samupāśritaḥ | sā punaḥ kṣatriya-śataiḥ pṛthivī sarvataḥ stṛtā, mahārāja |
Vāsudeva sprach: „Aus Furcht vor den heldenhaften Kṣatriyas suchtest du Zuflucht in einem Berg. Doch nun, o großer König, ist die Erde abermals nach allen Seiten hin von Hunderten von Kṣatriyas erfüllt.“
