Disregarding a righteous warning—especially a curse uttered by a spiritually authoritative person—does not nullify its moral force; consequences can mature in unexpected ways, even turning one’s own strengths (such as powerful sons) into instruments of downfall.
Vāsudeva explains that the person concerned ignored the curse at the moment it was given, but later, due to that curse, his strong sons became the direct cause of their father’s death.
