यस्मिन् नित्ये तते तन््तौ दृढे स्रगिव तिष्ठति
yasmin nitye tate tantau dṛḍhe srag iva tiṣṭhati
Bhīṣma spricht: „Auf jenem ewigen, ausgespannten und festen Faden ruht es—wie ein Blumenkranz, der auf einer starken Schnur zusammengehalten wird.“ Im ethischen Sinn lehrt dieses Bild, dass die vielen Formen von Handeln und Erleben nur dann zusammenhängend bleiben, wenn sie in einem unveränderlichen, stabilen Prinzip gründen; ohne ein solches Fundament zerfallen Ordnung und Bedeutung.
