Shloka 2

तं स तेन यथोद्दिष्टं नागं विप्रेण ब्राह्मण: । पर्यपृच्छद्‌ यथान्यायं श्रुत्वैव च जगाम स:,उस मुनिसे ब्राह्मणने अपने अतिथिके बताये हुए नागका पता पूछा। मुनिने जो कुछ बताया, उसे यथावत्‌्रूपसे सुनकर वह पुनः आगे बढ़ा

taṃ sa tena yathoddiṣṭaṃ nāgaṃ vipreṇa brāhmaṇaḥ | paryapṛcchad yathānyāyaṃ śrutvaiva ca jagāma saḥ ||

Bhīṣma sprach: Der Brahmane erkundigte sich, genau wie es der Weise gewiesen hatte, in gebührender Weise nach jener Schlange, von der der Gast gesprochen hatte. Nachdem er den Bericht so, wie er erzählt wurde, vernommen hatte, zog er weiter.
