Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
न तस्यान्य: प्रियतर: प्रतिबुद्धैर्महात्मभि: । विद्यते त्रिषु लोकेषु ततो5स्यैकान्तिकं गत:,वहाँके ज्ञानी-महात्मा भक्तोंसे बढ़कर भगवान्को तीनों लोकोंमें दूसरा कोई प्रिय नहीं है; अतः मैं अनन्य भावसे उन्हींकी शरणमें गया हूँ
na tasyānyaḥ priyataraḥ pratibuddhair mahātmabhiḥ | vidyate triṣu lokeṣu tato ’syāikāntikaṃ gataḥ ||
Nārada sprach: „Für Ihn gibt es unter den erwachten Großseelen in den drei Welten niemanden, der Ihm lieber wäre. Darum habe ich einzig bei Ihm Zuflucht genommen.“
नारद उवाच
The verse teaches that the Lord most cherishes awakened, great-souled devotees, and that recognizing this leads one to single-minded devotion and exclusive refuge (ekāntika śaraṇāgati) rather than divided loyalties.
Nārada is speaking as a spiritual authority, praising the unique dearness of enlightened devotees to the Lord and explaining his own response: he has therefore chosen unwavering, exclusive surrender to that Lord.
