Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī

तपोनिधे त्वयोक्त हि नारायणकथाश्रयम्‌ । स ईशो भगवान्‌ देव: सर्वभूतात्मभावन:,तपोनिधे! आपने भगवान्‌ नारयणकी कथासे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाली जो बातें कही हैं, वे सब इस ग्रन्थकी सारभूत हैं। सबके ईश्वर भगवान्‌ नारायणदेव सम्पूर्ण भूतोंको उत्पन्न करनेवाले हैं

Janamejaya uvāca |

Taponidhe tvayokta hi nārāyaṇa-kathāśrayam |

Sa īśo bhagavān devaḥ sarva-bhūtātma-bhāvanaḥ ||

Janamejaya sprach: „O Schatz der Askese, was du gesagt hast—gegründet auf der heiligen Erzählung von Nārāyaṇa—ist wahrlich das Wesen dieser Lehre. Jener Herr, der Erhabene, der Gott, ist der Souverän über alle; er lässt das innere Selbst jedes Wesens entstehen und erhält es.“
