Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the dharmic method of learning: sincere inquiry (praśna) directed to realized sages, with attention to context—where the teaching is received, from whom, and under what disciplined period of residence.

Janamejaya asks the narrator to specify details about Nārada’s visit to Badarikāśrama—how long he stayed after meeting two sages there, and which particular discourse or story he requested from them.
