Shloka 114

Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)

अथ रुद्र उपाधावत्‌ तावृषी तपसान्वितौ । तत एन॑ समुद्भूतं कण्ठे जग्राह पाणिना

atha rudra upādhāvat tāv ṛṣī tapasānvitau | tata enaṃ samudbhūtaṃ kaṇṭhe jagrāha pāṇinā ||

Da stürmte Rudra auf jene beiden ṛṣi zu, die von asketischer Kraft (tapas) erfüllt waren. In eben diesem Augenblick, als das Wesen emporstieg, packte Rudra es mit der Hand an der Kehle—ein Zeichen dafür, dass geistige Autorität und göttlicher Schutz störende oder überhebliche Kräfte zügeln, sobald sie die durch tapas und dharma getragene Ordnung bedrohen.
