Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)

कल्पयन्ति हि मां विप्रा अथर्वाणविदस्तथा । अथर्ववेदी ब्राह्मण मुझे ही कृत्याओं आभिचारिक प्रयोगोंसे सम्पन्न पंचकल्पात्मक “अथर्ववेद' मानते हैं ।। शाखाभेदाश्न ये केचिद्‌ याश्व शाखासु गीतय:

So stellen mich die Brahmanen, kundig im Atharvan, tatsächlich dar. Die Atharvavedin-Brahmanen halten mich für das „Atharvaveda“ in Gestalt der fünf Kalpas (pañca-kalpa), erfüllt von kṛtyā und ābhicāra‑Praktiken. Und manche, je nach Verschiedenheit der Zweige (śākhā), besingen es in eben diesen śākhā.
