धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)

त्रितोपघाताद वैरूप्यमेकतो<थ द्वितस्तथा । प्राप्स्येते वानरत्वं हि प्रजापतिसुतावृषी,त्रित नामक मुनिके साथ विश्वासघात करनेके कारण एकत और द्वित--ये दो प्रजापतिके पुत्र ऋषि विरूप वानरयोनिको प्राप्त होंगे

tritopaghātād vairūpyam ekato 'tha dvitastathā | prāpsyete vānaratvaṃ hi prajāpatisutāvṛṣī ||

Bhīṣma sprach: „Wegen ihres treulosen Angriffs auf den Weisen namens Trita werden die beiden aus Prajāpati geborenen Seher, Ekata und Dvita, Entstellung erleiden und wahrlich unter Affen geboren werden. So bringt der Verrat an Vertrauen eine angemessene sittliche Folge, die den Verräter mit Schande und Rangverlust zeichnet.“
