नावर्तते व्रतं स्वप्ने शुक्रमोक्षे कथंचन । आज्यहोम: समिद्धे्ग्नौ प्रायक्षित्तं विधीयते,यदि किसी कारणसे स्वप्रमें वीर्य स्खलित हो जाय तो इससे ब्रह्मचारीके लिये दुबारा व्रत लेने--उपनयन-संस्कार करानेकी आवश्यकता नहीं है। इसके लिये प्रज्वलित अग्निमें घीका हवन करना प्रायश्चित्त बताया गया है

Transliteration

na āvartate vrataṁ svapne śukramokṣe kathaṁcana | ājyahomaḥ samiddhe 'gnau prāyaścittaṁ vidhīyate ||

Translation

Vyāsa sagte: Wenn es im Traum zu einem unwillkürlichen Samenerguss kommt, gilt das Gelübde des Brahmacarya in keiner Weise als gebrochen und muss nicht erneut übernommen werden. Für einen solchen Vorfall ist eine Sühne vorgeschrieben: Ghee in ein ordnungsgemäß entfachtes Feuer zu opfern.
