Systems of Knowledge and Vyāsa’s Nārāyaṇa-Origin
The verse foregrounds bhakti and dharmic reverence: when the divine is recognized as the sustainer and inner ruler (Hṛṣīkeśa), the proper ethical response is humility, salutation, and celebration of righteousness (jaya) rather than pride or self-assertion.
Bhishma reports hearing a powerful, far-spreading acclamation. The gathered people are collectively chanting victory and offering salutations to Krishna, invoking him through honorific epithets that emphasize his cosmic role and spiritual supremacy.
