यन्मया समनुष्ेयं ब्रह्मर्षे तदुदाहर । विमुक्तस्येह शिष्यैमें नातिहृष्टमिदं मन:
yanmayā samanuṣṭheyaṃ brahmarṣe tad udāhara | vimuktasyeha śiṣyair me nātihṛṣṭam idaṃ manaḥ ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „O Brahmarshi, erkläre mir, welche Pflicht ich jetzt erfüllen soll. Da ich hier von meinen geliebten Schülern getrennt bin, ist mein Sinn in diesem Augenblick nicht sonderlich froh.“
