अव्यक्त–पुरुष–विवेकः (Discrimination of Avyakta/Prakṛti and Puruṣa) — Yājñavalkya’s Anvīkṣikī to Viśvāvasu
सम्यग्दर्शनमेतावद् भाषितं तव तत्त्वतः । एवमेतद् विजानन्त: साम्यतां प्रति यान्त्युत,इस प्रकार मैंने तुमसे यह सम्यग्दर्शन (सांख्य) का यथावत््रूपसे वर्णन किया है। जो इसे इस प्रकार जानते हैं, वे शान्तस्वरूप ब्रह्मको प्राप्त होते हैं
samyagdarśanam etāvad bhāṣitaṁ tava tattvataḥ | evam etad vijānantaḥ sāmyatāṁ prati yānty uta ||
Vasiṣṭha sprach: „Bis hierher habe ich dir, der Wirklichkeit gemäß, die Lehre der rechten Schau (die sāṅkhyaische Einsicht) dargelegt. Wer sie genau so versteht, schreitet wahrlich zur Gleichmut hin — und erlangt den Frieden Brahmans.“
वसिष्ठ उवाच
Vasiṣṭha concludes that true liberation-oriented wisdom is “right vision” (samyagdarśana): a clear, reality-based understanding that culminates in sāmyatā (equanimity). Such equanimity is presented as the gateway to peace and realization of Brahman.
In the Śānti Parva’s instructional setting, Vasiṣṭha is finishing an exposition of Sāṅkhya-like discernment. He summarizes that he has taught the doctrine accurately, and affirms the result: those who grasp it properly advance toward equanimity and the tranquil state identified with Brahman.
