Śānti-parva Adhyāya 3: Karṇa’s training under Rāma Jāmadagnya and the Bhārgava restriction on the Brahmāstra

एवमुक्त: स रामेण न्‍्यायेनोपजगाम ह । दुर्योधनमुपागम्य कृतास्त्रो$स्मीति चाब्रवीत्‌,परशुरामजीके ऐसा कहनेपर कर्ण उन्हें न्यायपूर्वक प्रणाम करके वहाँसे लौट आया और दुर्योधनके पास पहुँचकर बोला--'मैंने सब अस्त्रोंका ज्ञान प्राप्त कर लिया”

evam uktaḥ sa rāmeṇa nyāyenopajagāma ha | duryodhanam upāgamya kṛtāstro 'smīti cābravīt ||

So von Rāma (Paraśurāma) angesprochen, trat Karṇa in gebührender Weise und mit ehrerbietigem Verhalten zu ihm. Dann kehrte er zurück, ging zu Duryodhana und erklärte: „Ich bin nun vollständig in der Waffenlehre ausgebildet.“
