Educational Q&A

Without attaining true understanding (tattva-jñāna / right discernment), a person remains spiritually unprepared; at the time of departure from this world, that ignorance matures into intense remorse and suffering.

In Śānti Parva’s instructional discourse, the sage Parāśara is teaching about the consequences of ignorance: the ‘foolish’ who fail to gain right knowledge in life experience great anguish when they pass on.
