Livelihood, Virtuous Association, and Ethics of Giving
एकी भूतस्य न त्वस्य धारणे तेजस: प्रभो । समर्था सकला पृथ्वी बहुधा सृज्यतामयम्
ekī-bhūtasya na tv asya dhāraṇe tejasāḥ prabho | samarthā sakalā pṛthvī bahudhā sṛjyatām ayam ||
Bhishma sprach: „O Herr, solange diese lodernde Energie—dieses Fieber—als eine einzige, ungeteilte Gestalt besteht, wird die ganze Erde es nicht zu tragen vermögen. Darum, o Herr, lasse es in vielen Formen entstehen, verteilt und vielfältig, damit die Welt seine Kraft ertragen kann.“
भीष्म उवाच
Power (tejas) must be moderated and distributed so it does not overwhelm the world; even justified force should be shaped by responsibility and compassion to preserve cosmic and social stability.
Bhīṣma addresses a divine authority, warning that a single concentrated manifestation of a fiery fever-like force cannot be borne by the earth, and requests that it be divided into multiple forms so creation can sustain it.
