सम्प्रसक्तमना भोगान्‌ विसृज्य पितृसंचितान्‌ । परिक्षीण: परस्वानामादानं साधु मन्यते,फिर वह मनुष्य भोगोंमें आसक्तचित्त होकर क्रमश: बाप-दादोंकी रखी हुई कमाईको उड़ाकर कंगाल हो जाता है और दूसरोंके धनको हड़प लेना अच्छा मानने लगता है

samprasaktamanā bhogān visṛjya pitṛsañcitān | parikṣīṇaḥ parasvānām ādānaṃ sādhu manyate ||

Janaka sprach: „Wenn der Geist eines Menschen in Genüssen verstrickt ist, verschleudert er den von seinen Vorfahren angesammelten Reichtum. Ist er erst zugrunde gerichtet, hält er es für recht, fremdes Gut an sich zu nehmen; so führt ihn das Begehren von der Verschwendung zur offenen Verfehlung.“
