यज्ञशास्त्रमें क्रमश: वर्णित ये सम्पूर्ण यज्ञांग विधि-पूर्वक यज्ञमें प्रयुक्त हो एक दूसरेको धारण करते हैं ।। आम्नायमार्ष पश्यामि यस्मिन्‌ वेदा: प्रतिष्ठिता: । त॑ विद्वांसोडनुपश्यन्ति ब्राह्मणस्यानुदर्शनात्‌,मैं ऋषियोंद्वारा कथित आम्नाय (धर्मशास्त्र) को देखता हूँ, जिसमें सारे वेद प्रतिष्ठित हैं। कर्ममें प्रवृत्ति करानेवाले ब्राह्मणग्रन्थके वाक्योंका उसमें दर्शन होनेसे विद्वान्‌ पुरुष उस आर्षग्रन्थको प्रमाणभूत मानते हैं

āmnāyam ārṣaṁ paśyāmi yasmin vedāḥ pratiṣṭhitāḥ | taṁ vidvāṁso 'nupaśyanti brāhmaṇasyānudarśanāt ||

Kapila sprach: „Ich schaue die uralte, von Sehern verfasste Überlieferung (āmnāya), in der die Veden fest gegründet sind. Weil sie durch die autoritativen Brahmana-Teile, die das rituelle Handeln leiten, bekräftigt wird, erkennen die Gelehrten diese seherische Lehre als gültigen Maßstab an.“
