मोक्षोपाय-निर्णयः
Determination of the Means to Liberation
तत्त्वाभेदेन यच्छास्त्रं तत् कार्य नान्यथाविधम् | असमीक्ष्यैव कर्माणि नीतिशास्त्रं यथाविधि,जो दण्ड-विधान शरीरके पाँचों तत्त्वोंकी अलग-अलग न कर सके अर्थात् किसीके प्राण न ले, उसीका प्रयोग करना चाहिये। नीतिशास्त्रकी आलोचना और अपराधीके कार्यपर भलीभाँति विचार किये बिना ही इसके विपरीत कोई दण्ड नहीं देना चाहिये
tattvābhedena yacchāstraṃ tat kāryaṃ nānyathāvidham | asamīkṣyaiva karmāṇi nītiśāstraṃ yathāvidhi ||
Dyumatsena sprach: „Die Lehrschrift, die Staatskunst und Strafe gemäß den wahren Grundsätzen (der Wirklichkeit und rechten Lebensführung) festlegt, ist genau so anzuwenden, wie sie es vorschreibt, nicht auf andere Weise. Ohne die Taten (des Schuldigen) sorgfältig zu prüfen und ohne die Lehre der Politik, wie sie überliefert ist, gebührend zu bedenken, soll man keine Strafe verhängen, die der Regel widerspricht.“
