ममेदमिति नास्यैतत्‌ प्रवर्तेत कलौ युगे । लोकयात्रा न चैव स्यादथ चेद्‌ वेत्थ शंस नः,कलियुग आनेपर तो लोग “यह वस्तु मेरी है, इसकी नहीं है” ऐसा कहकर सीधे ही दूसरोंका धन हड़प लेंगे। इस तरह लोकयात्राका निर्वाह असम्भव हो जायगा। यदि तुम इसका कोई समाधान जानते हो, तो मुझसे बताओ

Transliteration

mamedam iti nāsyaitat pravarteta kalau yuge | lokayātrā na caiva syād atha ced vettha śaṃsa naḥ ||

Translation

„Im Kali-Zeitalter wird die Vorstellung ‘das ist mein, nicht sein’ nicht länger als verlässliche Schranke wirken. Die Menschen werden dreist den Reichtum anderer an sich reißen, und der gewöhnliche Gang der Gesellschaft — gemeinsamer Lebensunterhalt und wechselseitiger Verkehr — wird nicht bestehen. Wenn du ein Heilmittel dafür kennst, so sage es uns.“
