Bhūta-guṇa-saṃkhyāna

Enumeration of the Properties of the Elements and Cognitive Faculties

एवमेव कृतप्रज्ञो न दोषैरविंषयां श्वरन्‌ । असज्जमान: सर्वेषु कथंचन न लिप्यते,इसी प्रकार जिसकी बुद्धि शुद्ध है, वह स्त्री, पुत्र आदि सम्बन्धियोंमें आसक्त न होनेके कारण विषयोंका सेवन करता हुआ भी किसी प्रकार उनके दोषोंसे लिप्त नहीं होता है

evam eva kṛtaprajño na doṣair aviṣayāṁś caran | asajjamānaḥ sarveṣu kathaṁcana na lipyate ||

Ebenso wird einer mit vollendeter, geläuterter Einsicht—der sich unter den Sinnesobjekten bewegt, ohne von ihnen getrieben zu werden—nicht von ihren Fehlern befleckt. Weil er allen Beziehungen und Besitztümern (wie Frau, Sohn und dergleichen) unangehaftet bleibt, wird er, selbst wenn er weltliche Angelegenheiten berührt, in keiner Weise von den Mängeln beschmutzt, die gewöhnlich an solchen Genüssen haften.
