Fearlessness is both an ethical stance and a spiritual fruit: when one offers non-threat and safety to all beings, and when delusion (moha) is removed, fear has no basis and cannot arise from any direction.
In the Śānti Parva’s instruction on dharma and inner peace, Vyāsa states a principle linking conduct and realization: non-harming and goodwill toward all beings culminate in reciprocal safety, and the liberated-from-delusion person becomes inwardly fearless.
