The verse highlights how a force generated from its own momentum can expand in every direction; ethically, it suggests that unrestrained power or agitation—once self-propelled—spreads widely and affects the whole environment, so restraint and steadiness are essential for sustaining dharma.
Vyāsa describes a powerful wind that, upon producing its own roaring sound, begins to surge violently—up, down, and sideways—sweeping across all ten directions, functioning as vivid atmospheric description and a sign of pervasive disturbance.
