योग–सांख्यसमन्वयः, रथोपमा, व्यक्त–अव्यक्तविवेकः

नारदानुगत: साक्षान्मघवांस्तामुपागमत्‌ । कृताञ्जलिपुटो देवीं निवेद्यात्मानमात्मना,आगे-आगे नारदजी और उनके पीछे साक्षात्‌ इन्द्रदेव हाथ जोड़े हुए देवीकी ओर बढ़े। उन्होंने स्वयं ही देवीको आत्मसमर्पण करके उनकी अनुपम पूजा की। राजन! तत्पश्चात्‌ सर्वज्ञ देवराजने लक्ष्मीदेवीसे इस प्रकार कहा

nāradānugataḥ sākṣān maghavāṁs tām upāgamat | kṛtāñjalipuṭo devīṁ nivedyātmānam ātmanā |

Bhishma sprach: Nārada ging voran, und Maghavān—Indra selbst—trat zur Göttin. Mit gefalteten Händen in Ehrfurcht bot er ihr sein eigenes Selbst in Hingabe dar und vollzog eine unvergleichliche Verehrung ihrer Majestät. Dann richtete der allwissende König der Götter folgende Worte an Śrī (Lakṣmī).

Educational Q&A

Even the highest worldly authority (Indra) models dharmic conduct through humility, reverence, and self-surrender before the divine source of prosperity and auspiciousness (Lakṣmī). Power is ethically grounded when it bows to higher principle.

Nārada goes ahead and Indra follows him to meet the Goddess Lakṣmī. Indra approaches with folded hands, offers himself in surrender, worships her, and then begins to speak to her.
