श॒क्र उवाच भूतानामिह यो वै त्वां मया विनिहितां सतीम्‌ । उपहन्यात्‌ स मे धृष्यस्तथा शृण्वन्तु मे वच:

Transliteration

śakra uvāca bhūtānām iha yo vai tvāṁ mayā vinihitāṁ satīm | upahanyāt sa me dhṛṣyas tathā śṛṇvantu me vacaḥ ||

Translation

Śakra (Indra) sprach: „Unter den Wesen hier: Wer dich schlagen würde—obwohl du eine tugendhafte Frau bist, die ich unter meinen Schutz gestellt habe—der verübte damit einen Frevel gegen mich. Darum sollen sie meine Worte hören.“
