ब्राह्मण उवाच नाददे5परवक्तव्यं दत्त चास्य फलं मया । वाक्यं प्रमाणं राजर्षे ममाद्य तव चैव हि,ब्राह्मणने कहा--राजर्षे! अब तो मैं अपने जपका फल दे चुका; अतः दूसरी कोई बात नहीं स्वीकार करूँगा। इस विषयमें आज मेरी और आपकी बातें ही प्रमाणस्वरूप हैं (हम दोनोंको अपनी-अपनी बातोंपर दृढ़ रहना चाहिये)

Transliteration

brāhmaṇa uvāca | nādade ’paravaktavyaṃ dattaṃ cāsya phalaṃ mayā | vākyaṃ pramāṇaṃ rājarṣe mamādya tava caiva hi ||

Translation

Der Brahmane sprach: „O königlicher Weiser, ich nehme keine weitere Widerrede an. In dieser Sache habe ich die Frucht meiner Askese bereits verliehen. O rājarṣi, heute ist die entscheidende Autorität unser eigenes Wort — meines und deines; darum soll jeder fest zu dem stehen, was er gesagt hat.“
