Educational Q&A

A ruler upholds dharma not only through power but through disciplined conduct—especially honoring worthy guests and learned Brahmins with hospitality performed according to scriptural injunction (vidhi).

Bhishma recounts how Virupaksha received the arriving eminent Brahmins and offered them a proper welcome and ritual honor, following the prescribed procedures.
