असंतोषादिदोष-निरूपणम्

On the Faults of Discontent and the Discipline of Detachment

ते जनास्तां गति यान्ति नाविद्वांसो5ल्पचेतस: । नाबुद्धयो नातपस: सर्व बुद्धौ प्रतेष्ठितम्‌,बुद्धिमान्‌ और तपस्वी ही उस गतिको प्राप्त होते हैं। जो अज्ञानी, मन्दबुद्धि, शुद्धबुद्धिसे रहित और तपस्यासे शून्य हैं--वे नहीं। क्योंकि सब कुछ बुद्धिमें ही प्रतिष्ठित है

Translation

Jenes Ziel erreichen nicht die Unwissenden mit kleinem Geist; nicht die ohne Einsicht, nicht die ohne Askese. Denn alles ist in der buddhi, der geistigen Einsicht, gegründet. Darum erlangen nur der Weise und der Asket jenes Geschick; die Toren, die Stumpfsinnigen, die ohne reinen Urteilssinn und ohne tapas sind—erlangen es nicht.
