Śaraṇāgata-Atithi-Dharma in the Kapota Narrative (कपोत-आख्यानम्—शरणागतधर्मः)

ततोडग्निमुपसंहृत्य ब्राह्ेण विधिना मुनि: । ऐन्द्राग्नेयेन विधिना चरुं श्रपयत स्वयम्‌,ऐसा सोचकर मुनिने वेदोक्त विधिसे अग्निकी स्थापना करके इन्द्र और अग्निदेवताके उद्देश्यसे स्वयं ही चरु पकाकर तैयार किया

Transliteration

tato 'gnim upasaṁhṛtya brāhmeṇa vidhinā muniḥ | aindrāgneyeṇa vidhinā caruṁ śrapayat svayam ||

Translation

So entschlossen richtete der Muni das Feuerritual ein und vollendete es nach dem brahmanischen Verfahren, wie es in den Veden gelehrt wird. Dann kochte er eigenhändig den Opferbrei (caru) nach der für Indra und Agni vorgeschriebenen rituellen Weise.
