Ānṛśaṃsya, Amātya-Guṇa, and Reconciliatory Counsel (आनृशंस्य–अमात्यगुण–संधि-उपदेशः)

स त्वं धर्ममवेक्षस्व हित्वा लोभमसाम्प्रतम्‌ । नच कामाज्न च द्रोहात्‌ स्वधर्म हातुमहसि,“अनुचित लोभका परित्याग करके तुम धर्मपर ही दृष्टि रखो, कामना अथवा द्रोहसे भी अपने धर्मका परित्याग न करो

sa tvaṁ dharmam avekṣasva hitvā lobham asāmpratam | na ca kāmāj na ca drohāt svadharmaṁ hātum arhasi ||

Bhishma sagte: „Darum richte deinen Blick auf das Dharma und wirf diese unzeitige, ungehörige Gier von dir. Weder aus Begierde noch aus Bosheit sollst du deine eigene Pflicht verlassen.“
