विनाशं यास्यति क्षिप्रं कल्याणी पृथुलोचना । “निश्चय ही जिसके पति और पुत्र मारे गये हैं, वह कल्याणमयी विशाललोचना लक्ष्मणकी माता भी सारा समाचार सुनकर तुरंत ही प्राण दे देगी

Transliteration

vināśaṃ yāsyati kṣipraṃ kalyāṇī pṛthulocanā |

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: „Jene glückverheißende, großäugige Frau wird rasch ihr Ende finden. Denn sobald sie den ganzen Bericht hört, dass ihr Gatte und ihr Sohn erschlagen wurden, wird Lakṣmaṇas Mutter sogleich das Leben aufgeben.“
