Śalya’s Consecration as Senāpati and Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel to Yudhiṣṭhira (शल्यस्य सेनापत्यभिषेकः)
शल्य उवाच यत्तु मां मन्यसे राजन् कुरुराज करोमि तत् | त्वत्प्रियार्थ हि मे सर्व प्राणा राज्यं धनानि च
śalya uvāca yat tu māṃ manyase rājan kururāja karomi tat | tvat-priyārthaṃ hi me sarve prāṇā rājyaṃ dhanāni ca ||
Shalya said: “O king, whatever you think I should do—O sovereign of the Kurus—I will do that. For your pleasure and welfare, my very life-breaths, my kingdom, and my wealth are all at your disposal.”
