शक्त्यस्त्रस्य तु राजेन्द्र ततोडर्चिर्भि: समन्ततः । त्रैलोक्यं त्रासितं सर्व जृम्भभाणाभिरेव च,राजेन्द्र! उस शक्तिनामक अस्त्रकी सब ओर फैलती हुई ज्वालाओंसे सारी त्रिलोकी थर्रा उठी
śaktyastrasya tu rājendra tato 'rcirbhis samantataḥ | trailokyaṁ trāsitaṁ sarvaṁ jṛmbhabhāṇābhir eva ca ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O König, als die Śakti-Waffe entfesselt wurde, breiteten sich Flammen nach allen Seiten aus. Durch ihr furchterregendes Dröhnen und ihr plötzliches Anschwellen schien die ganze dreifache Welt zu erbeben—so überwältigend war die Kraft, die mitten im Krieg losbrach.“
