वृतं दैत्यायुतैवरिबलिभिदीशभिनृप । इससे प्रभावशाली भगवान्‌ महासेन बड़े प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने महान्‌ बल एवं पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न उस दैत्यराज तारकको मार गिराया, जो एक लाख बलवान एवं वीर दैत्योंसे घिरा हुआ था ।। ७३ है ।। महिषं चाष्टभि: पद्मैर्वृतं संख्ये निजध्निवान्‌

mahīṣaṃ cāṣṭabhiḥ padmair vṛtaṃ saṅkhye nijaghnivān
