विचचार महीं कृत्स्नां कृतकाम: सुरोपम: । उस उग्र तपस्याके द्वारा ब्राह्मणत्व पाकर सफलमनोरथ हुए महायशस्वी विश्वामित्र देवताके समान समस्त भूमण्डलमें विचरने लगे

Transliteration

vicacāra mahīṁ kṛtsnāṁ kṛtakāmaḥ suropamaḥ |

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: Nachdem er sein Ziel erreicht hatte und in Glanz einem Gott gleich war, durchwanderte er die ganze Erde. Durch wilde Askesen erlangte er den Stand eines brāhmaṇa; und der ruhmreiche Viśvāmitra, dessen Wunsch erfüllt war, zog durch die gesamte Welt.
