सरस्वतीतीर्थानुक्रमः — बलरामस्य तीर्थयात्रा

Sarasvatī Tīrtha Itinerary — Balarāma’s Pilgrimage

स एवमभिनिनश्ित्य तस्मिन्‌ कूपे महातपा: । ददर्श वीरुध॑ तत्र लम्बमानां यदृच्छया,इस प्रकार विचार करते-करते महातपस्वी त्रितने उस कुएँमें एक लता देखी, जो दैवयोगसे वहाँ फैली हुई थी

sa evam abhininiścitya tasmin kūpe mahātapāḥ | dadarśa vīrudhaṁ tatra lambamānāṁ yadṛcchayā ||

So in seinem Geist entschlossen, erblickte der große Asket (Trita), während er in jenem Brunnen war, zufällig eine herabhängende Kletterranke. Mitten in der Not reicht die Vorsehung bisweilen selbst eine zarte Stütze dar — einen Spalt für Mühe und Standhaftigkeit, nicht für Ergebung.
