Resolve for the Mace Duel
तत् त्वमादाय युध्यस्व प्रेक्षकास्ते वयं स्थिता: । तुम रणभूमिमें अकेले ही एक-एकके साथ भिड़कर हम सब लोगोंसे युद्ध करना चाहते हो तो ऐसा ही सही। जो हथियार तुम्हें पसंद हो, उसीको लेकर हमलोगोंमेंसे एक-एकके साथ युद्ध करो। हम सब लोग दर्शक बनकर खड़े रहेंगे
tat tvam ādāya yudhyasva prekṣakās te vayaṁ sthitāḥ |
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: «Dann nimm die Waffe deiner Wahl und kämpfe. Wir werden hier als Zuschauer stehen. Wenn du gegen uns alle kämpfen willst—indem du auf dem Feld jeden von uns einzeln stellst—so sei es. Wähle die Waffe, die dir gefällt, und tritt, einen nach dem andern, zum Kampf an; wir bleiben als Zeugen stehen.»
